Our Approach
Here at Oxford Christian Church, you’ll find a community of faith that is intentionally intergenerational and inclusive. You’ll see children, youth, and adults of all ages worshipping and spending time together. Children, youth, and adults, both male and female, help lead & participate in worship and many other aspects of our church life. We’re a group of people seeking to follow Jesus as we love one another and all those in God’s good world. We believe God gives us the gift of one another to share the journey of life and faith. We also believe that Jesus calls us to serve others and be a part of God’s work of making the world a better place. Join us as we follow Jesus together!
Our Story
We are a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination. As Disciples, we are called together around the two essentials of faith: a belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and that Christians are free to follow their conscience guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit, study, prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others. Because Jesus invites us to the communion table, we welcome all who wish to share at the table with us. We practice Baptism by immersion, but we recognize the Baptisms of other churches and traditions.
